XamlReader is Culture Specific
12/18/08
This is a nice tip from Jeff Prosise: XamlReader.Load takes Culture specific strings!
Good tip. It can be pretty frustrating to try and find these kind of bugs. But I do believe there is also a Code Analysis warning about adding CurrentCulture when using String.Format(). -

Karl Shifflet has started a great page called the WPF & Silverlight Line of Business UI Design Pattern Home Page. It's all about using WPF/SL for LOB applications and he's planning on explaining all about the Model-View-ViewModel pattern (used extensively in Prism).

WPF and (Iron)Python
12/09/08
To strengthen my development skills I'm going to dive into Python in the coming period (you can see this as a pre-new years resolution). But, since I've also got this blog, I started looking for the combination Python and WPF.
First link I came across: Hello WPF in IronPython. T -

[Non-WPF] TypeAlyzer - Analyze a blog's style
12/03/08
Through the Elegant Code RSS feed I came across the Typealyzer blog. Based on language use and topic (I guess) this site determines the style of a weblog. Obivously I had to try my own attempt at a weblog as well. This is what came up:

Flash Versus Silverlight
12/02/08
I'm not going to discuss this tough issue here :) The title of my blog pretty much sums up which choice I've made, so I'm biased. Nevertheless, the discussion is interesting as are the comparisons. Luckily, Terence Tsang has devoted his entire blog ShineDraw.com to Silverlight-Flash c -
XAML Refactoring or the lack of it
12/01/08
Jonathan van de Veen has written a nice post containing some of the quirks he's noticed while developing Silverlight apps. The most annoying one is:
Refactoring doesn't effect XAML
Why this is I don't know but it's the same when you're doing ASP.NET. Changed some e
