Zoom toolbar in Silverlight

Mike Snow has posted a nice tutorial on how to create a Zoom toolbar in Silverlight using a ScaleTransform and a little animation:





The example doesn't really show it, but the second icon on the left is slightly larger than the others. The demo scales the selected icon to 1.3 times its original size, which is why the difference is this subtle.

Blend the OGRE Graphics Engine into your WPF projects

I really love this stuff. First of all, it made me find out about MOGRE, the Mananged wrapper for Ogre, which is pretty cool by itself. I'm still working my way through tutorials and documentation, but the engine is really neat and performs quite well, even with the manager wrappers.
Then, when people start doing crazy shit like this:


which is not really usefull but ever so swanky, it really wakes up my inner nerd. The fact that WPF keeps on drawing those reflections is even more impressive :)

I've probably mentioned this link before but WPF Video's keeps adding new and interesting ones. The lst one, 'Build an Asynchronous Progress Bar in WPF' was added last week and is another interesing video.

Also,Tim Heuer posts a pretty interesting piece about Silverlight install experience.
